LVMH

The Challenge:

In 2021, LVMH found itself at a critical inflection point. As conversations around racial equity and social justice intensified globally, the luxury conglomerate recognized the need to reflect the diversity of its consumer base within its leadership. Despite its prominence in the market, LVMH faced clear challenges: underrepresentation of leaders of color, limited impact from existing DEI efforts, and outdated recruitment practices that hindered progress. The company turned to Monday Talent to help drive a more inclusive and future-focused leadership strategy.

The Search:

To support LVMH’s ambitious DEI goals across its Maisons, Monday Talent implemented a multifaceted recruitment strategy with diversity at its core. We expanded our reach through networks and platforms focused on underrepresented talent, redefined candidate criteria to value non-traditional backgrounds, and embedded equity into every stage of the process—from bias training to blind screening and diverse interview panels.

The Impact:

Our comprehensive approach led to the successful placement of leaders of color in key roles across LVMH, each driving measurable impact within their respective brands:

  • Make Up For Ever: A visionary GM expanded inclusive product offerings and marketing, fueling broader consumer appeal and increased sales.

  • Louis Vuitton: A new VP of Client Services implemented cultural competency training, resulting in higher customer satisfaction, especially in underserved markets.

  • Fresh: A Director of DEI introduced initiatives that strengthened culture and morale, while a new HRBP embedded inclusive practices across hiring and retention strategies.

  • LVMH, Inc.: A Head of Media crafted strategies spotlighting diverse voices, expanding engagement, and enhancing brand relevance across audiences.

  • Armand de Brignac: A Director of Communications redefined brand positioning through a diversity-forward lens, elevating its presence in the luxury market.

These placements not only advanced LVMH’s DEI goals but also drove stronger brand loyalty, cultural alignment, and business performance, underscoring the value of inclusive leadership at every level.
